The SmartScale
Prototype

Waste data begins at the point of collection. SmartScale makes sure it gets recorded, fast, accurately, and without friction.

SmartScale Prototype v2 in daily operation

What We’ve Built

SmartScale is our first working prototype that turns any waste drop-off point into a real-time data station. It combines weight sensors, AI-assisted classification, and an intuitive user interface, all built into a modular system that works with the internet.

This is not a concept, it’s a working tool, tested on the ground in Indonesia, now ready for its next iteration.

Key Capabilities

SmartScale was designed to meet real-world needs — not just lab specs.

Supports up to 250kg per transaction

Camera-based bulk waste recognition using AI
Touchscreen interface for fast confirmations

Modular build that connects to most commercial scales

Offline-first with cloud sync when connected

Instant data export (CSV, JSON, API-ready)

How It Works

1.

Weigh the waste

Attach SmartScale to an existing digital scale or use it as a stand-alone system

2.

AI detects the waste category

System captures an image and suggests the material type

3.

One click, data stored synch to cloud

One tap to save the data, and data is ready for reports, dashboards, and analysis

Everything happens in under 30 seconds per transaction, no manual entry, no clipboards.

Prototype Progress

We’ve gone from lab sketch to working field prototype in just under 12 months.
